Forests have played a crucial role in the development of Squamish and BC and its inhabitants:
First Nation peoples, explorers, whalers, trappers, timber companies, settlers and farmers, miners, railway men, dock workers, and now adventurers. The Sea to Sky Forestry Centre will share the stories of the pioneers who built our community from as far back as the 1800’s. The society has been collecting artifacts for many years and will provide space for a rotating display of these artifacts and the many stories. Outside, our Log Book project is already on permanent display, along with several pieces of historical logging equipment. Forestry helped build BC and continues to innovate and thrive in the province.
