Squamish is a gateway to a “sea to sky” forest landscape. It is also an important tidewater portal for export of forest products from the region and from Western Canada. Our industry heritage is rich and diverse.  Our stories, of the past and present and for the future, are of broad interest and significance. A Forestry Centre interpretive facility will compliment the nearby Britannia Mine Museum and West Coast Railway Heritage Park. Our strategic Squamish location- between Vancouver and Whistler- represents and opportunity to reach and engage a very large travelling public. The District of Squamish is a key supporter of our plans, offering land adjacent to the Adventure Centre tourist information facility.
